Open-source FE code for high perfomance computer systems

Novel open-source finite element code development for implementation on high performance computer systems.

Scalable nonlinear finite element codes for parallel finite element analysis:

New open source routines that incorporate geometrical and material (plasticity and damage) nonlinearities for massively parallel finite element simulations have been developed [REFS]. These have been developed to work with existing linear code ParaFEM and implemented on UK’s supercomputer ARCHER and Hartree Centre’s system BlueGene. We have successfully demonstrated that these codes are scalable with the number of cores.
